2016 Transfer!! Messi To Manchester City & Neymar To Manchester United?

The Barcelona duo are wanted by the Premier League giants, who could spend a combined £1 billion to bring the South American superstars to the northwest of England.

Manchester United and Manchester City could spend £1 billion to bring Neymar and Lionel Messi to the Premier League, according to the Sun.

Neymar was linked with a move to Old Trafford towards the end of the summer transfer window, and reports suggest that United executive vice chairman Ed Woodward has not given up hope of landing the Brazil international.

City, meanwhile, are desperate to persuade Messi to swap the Camp Nou for the Etihad Stadium, with the Argentine allegedly ‘blown away’ by the financial package on offer.

Both players would command hefty transfer fees, with Neymar’s buyout clause standing at £165 million and Messi unlikely to be sold for anythijng less than £150 million.

The duo would also push for substantial weekly wages, with £500,000 a week for Neymar and £1 million a week for Messi the astronomical figures mentioned.

The deal could thus add up to around £1 billion, but both United and City are said to be willing to stump up the cash in exchange for two of the world’s best players.

Man Dies After Drinking 4 Crates Of Beer In Lagos

A man identified as Femi Aluko has died after he reportedly drank four cartons of beer in Shasha, a suburb of Lagos, western Nigeria.

P.M.NEWS gathered that some people donated the cartons of beer to Aluko who boasted that he could consume that quantity.

But after Aluko reportedly drank the four cartons of beer, he became terribly drunk, lost control and fell into a gutter while he attempting to go home.

The incident happened on Thursday evening at a popular restaurant. After he fell into the gutter, non of the residents who saw him tried to rescue him.

He was found dead in the gutter the following morning.

According to residents, the late Aluko was known in the area as a drunk.

A resident, Mrs Nike Salawu who spoke to our reporter said the late Aluko had financial and family challenges for several years, which led him into heavy drinking of alcohol.

She said some of the residents had tried in the past to persuade him from drinking but he refused.

She said it was due to his drinking habit that he fell into a gutter, and nobody was willing to assist him till Friday morning when he was found dead there.

On how he got money to buy the drinks, she said it was the residents that usually bought the drinks for him.

The matter was reported to the police at Shasha division who went to the scene of the incident to see the corpse.

However, before the police could take the corpse to the General Hospital for autopsy, members of his family went to the station and asked for the remains for burial.

When our reporter visited Shasha police division, the DPO was not around to comment on the matter.

However, sources at the station who confirmed the incident said the corpse has been released to the family for burial.

Under the rain and in the sun’ is a line in the National Youth Service Corp (NYSC) anthem, and while corp members may sing this anthem without thinking of the meaning too deeply.

Corp members living in the NYSC Corpers Lodge at Kaura Namoda local government area, Zamfara State are experiencing first what it truly means to serve their fatherland ‘under the rain and in the sun’.

Below are disheartening photos of where these young Nigerians are expected to stay for their one year compulsory service.
